Sports venue reservations with a booking calendar, opening hours, simple prices, pay-on-site records and debtor restrictions.

== Description ==

ABeCe Booking helps sports venues manage reservations in WordPress. This free Lite edition manages unlimited resources and unlimited internal reservations. Authorized staff create, edit, move and cancel bookings for registered, walk-in or telephone customers. A public read-only calendar shows availability without exposing customer identities.

= Included in Lite =

* Public and administration booking calendars.
* Unlimited sports resources, such as courts or rooms, and unlimited internal bookings.
* Opening hours, date exceptions and individual resource blocks.
* Simple public hourly prices and pay-on-site payment records.
* Administrator reservations, cancellations and confirmation emails; registered and external customers.
* Receivables, overdue debtor restrictions and basic operational statistics.
* WordPress personal-data export and erasure integration, privacy settings and retention preview.
* Optional, explicitly enabled retention cleaning; automatic cleaning is off by default.
* Twelve bundled locales: English (US/UK), Czech, German, Polish, French, Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Simplified Chinese.

English is the source language. Bundled translations have automated checks; machine-assisted translations have not all been reviewed by native speakers.

= Optional separately distributed Premium =

Lite is usable without a Freemius account, registration or license. Choose Skip on the optional onboarding screen. There is no resource quota, booking quota or time limit on internal management.

Separately distributed Premium editions use Freemius Starter, Club and Pro licenses. Depending on the plan, Premium adds a separate customer self-service booking implementation, recurring reservations, daily price bands, grouped operations, bank/QR instructions and plan-specific membership, credit and reporting modules. Starter supports four explicitly selected online-bookable resources; Club and Pro have unlimited online-bookable resources. Internal resource management remains unlimited in all plans. These paid implementations are not included in the Lite installation ZIP. See the included docs/user-guide.md for the plan matrix.

There is no online payment gateway, WooCommerce integration or automatic bank-payment confirmation in either edition.

== Installation ==

1. Back up your WordPress files and database.
2. Upload and install the ABeCe Booking Lite ZIP through Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin, then activate it.
3. Choose Skip if you do not want to register with Freemius.
4. Open ABeCe Booking > Getting Started and configure sports, resources, opening hours, simple prices and payments.
5. Add [abece_booking] to a published page and select the booking page in the plugin settings. Lite registers only the prefixed shortcode. Its content compatibility adapter renders old [sports_booking] page content without registering that global alias; Premium also retains the legacy registration.
6. Configure the venue's privacy policy and test booking confirmations before accepting real customers.

Requires single-site WordPress 6.2+, 64-bit PHP 8.1+, MySQL 8.0+ or MariaDB 10.6.1+ with InnoDB. Lite requires the ctype, json, mbstring and mysqli PHP extensions. Multisite is unsupported. Composer, npm and shell access are not needed to install the ZIP. Activation creates no sample data or public pages.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Is registration or a license required? =

No. Lite works after Skip without registration or a license. Freemius registration and optional diagnostic sharing require your choice.

= How many resources can I book? =

Lite manages unlimited resources and internal bookings. Customer online self-service is a separately distributed Premium implementation, absent from the Lite package. Changing plans does not delete resources, bookings, prices or financial history.

= Does Lite include credit, memberships or recurring bookings? =

No. These are separately distributed Premium implementations, absent from this package. Lite includes pay-on-site records, receivables and overdue debtor restrictions.

= Are payments collected automatically? =

No. Lite records pay-on-site payments. Premium can provide offline bank/QR instructions, but those do not confirm receipt; an authorized manager records payment.

= What happens when I deactivate or delete the plugin? =

Ordinary deactivation and uninstall retain operational data. The separate Tools action can remove plugin data only with explicit administrator authorization and confirmation. Back up first. WordPress users and pages are preserved.

= Where is the corresponding source? =

The installation ZIP includes the exact preferred TypeScript/CSS inputs, npm lockfile and Vite configuration in source/. In a private working copy of that directory, run npm ci --no-audit --no-fund and ABECE_BOOKING_BUILD_EDITION=lite npm run build (Node 18.19+). Compare the resulting assets/build files with the shipped plugin assets. Lite source contains shared type declarations but no executable paid modules. Matching complete -source.zip archives also provide Composer locks and release tools. Runtime PHP dependency sources and license notices are included. See source/README.txt and docs/user-guide.md.

= Does the plugin make my venue GDPR compliant? =

The plugin provides privacy tools; it does not provide legal certification. The venue operator must determine lawful processing, retention periods and notices and obtain legal review where appropriate.

== Privacy and external services ==

Booking, customer and payment records are stored in the site's WordPress database. They are accessible according to WordPress capabilities and the plugin's authorization checks. Public availability does not expose customer identities. Email confirmations use the site's WordPress mail transport and may include the recipient's reservation details. The operator controls that transport and its service providers.

= Freemius =

The bundled official Freemius SDK manages optional plugin accounts and Premium licensing/updates. Lite functions without registration through Skip. With registration or separately chosen diagnostic sharing, Freemius receives the relevant account/site/plugin information and server IP under its own policies. This integration does not transmit the venue's ASB booking, member, credit-ledger or payment records. Premium account, activation and update requests are necessary when those services are used. Optional diagnostics and marketing consent are not prerequisites for Lite internal booking. No Lite function is unlocked by registering or paying.

= Optional address lookup =

OpenStreetMap/Nominatim is contacted only when a manager requests Find location in Settings > Location. It receives the entered venue address, UI language, identifying website/plugin User-Agent and server IP. Nothing is sent merely by typing, opening settings or saving manual coordinates. Do not enter confidential addresses. Results are cached for one day and requests are serialized/rate limited. Manual coordinates remain available.

No external QR-generation or translation service is required at runtime. See docs/user-guide.md for processing details and operator responsibilities.

== Support ==

For product and support information visit https://www.abece.cz/ . Include the plugin version, edition and a sanitized System Status report. Never post license keys, passwords or customer records publicly. Mail delivery and theme-specific behavior depend on the hosting environment.
