Create branded, non-diagnostic wellbeing self-assessments with configurable questions, results, optional emailed results and page creation tools.

== Description ==

Backing U Wellbeing Assessments provides a configurable assessment builder for organisations that want to publish educational wellbeing self-checks on WordPress.

The free WordPress.org edition includes:

* Unlimited manually created assessments.
* 10 ready-to-use starter assessments.
* Configurable numeric scales, question weighting and per-question safety triggers.
* Multiple score/result bands with detailed explanations and recommended next steps.
* Optional safety override result content for assessments where individual answers require special handling.
* Organisation branding, colours, logo and referral CTA settings.
* Shortcodes for Gutenberg, Elementor and most page builders.
* Optional participant email delivery using WordPress `wp_mail()`.
* Optional, explicit consent-based anonymous quality/research sharing to an email address controlled by the site owner.
* Assessment Page Creator for generating normal WordPress pages around assessment shortcodes.
* No artificial assessment-count limit.

The included starter assessments are educational self-reflection tools. They are not presented as validated clinical diagnostic instruments.

A separately distributed Pro edition is available from Backing U with additional workflow automation. The free WordPress.org edition does not contain disabled or paywalled Pro functionality. Information about the separate Pro product is available from the plugin's **Pro Version** admin page.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin ZIP through **Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin**, or install it from the WordPress Plugin Directory when available.
2. Activate **Backing U Wellbeing Assessments**.
3. Open **Backing U Assessments > Brand Settings** and replace the example organisation details with your own.
4. Review the included starter assessments before publishing them.
5. Copy an assessment shortcode into a WordPress page or use **Assessment Pages** to create pages automatically.

== Privacy ==

Assessment scoring is performed in the visitor's browser. The plugin does not create a WordPress database submission containing participant answers, names or email addresses.

If a visitor chooses to email a result to themselves, the information they provide is sent to the WordPress server and processed through `wp_mail()` for that requested delivery.

If the site owner has configured an organisation quality/research email and the visitor separately opts in to anonymous sharing, the plugin can send a de-identified copy of the assessment responses/result to that organisation-controlled email address. This consent is separate from the participant's own result-email option. The anonymous copy excludes the participant's entered name and email address.

This WordPress.org edition does not send assessment data to Backing U or another fixed external research recipient.

Site owners should disclose their own email, hosting, analytics, security and privacy practices in their site privacy policy.

== External services ==

This plugin does not require a Backing U API or external service to render or score assessments. Participant email delivery and optional organisation-owned anonymous sharing use the WordPress site's configured mail system via `wp_mail()`.

The **Pro Version** admin information page contains a normal external link to `https://backingu.com.au/development-hub/` that is visited only if an administrator clicks it. No data is sent to that URL automatically.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==
