== Description ==

**Fast. Simple. Booked.**

Simple appointment booking for your WordPress site. Let clients book time with you in a few clicks.

= Features =

* Booking page with a simple three-step flow: meeting type, date and time, details
* Meeting types with their own duration, description and location
* Weekly availability — only truly free time slots are shown
* No account needed for your clients, no third-party service
* Dashboard calendar with month and week views; confirm, cancel and reschedule in one click
* Email notifications with a calendar invite (.ics) attached
* Automatic email reminders before each meeting
* Editable email templates with placeholders
* Two looks: a Bookira card in your own colours, or a plain layout that matches your theme
* Add it your way: a block for the block editor (Gutenberg), a widget for Elementor, or a shortcode
* Show every meeting type on one page, or a page per meeting type

= Getting started =

1. Create a meeting type under **Bookira → Meeting Types**.
2. Check your weekly hours under **Bookira → Availability** (Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 by default).
3. Add the **Bookira Booking** block to any page. Using Elementor? Drag in the **Bookira Booking** widget. You can also use the `[bookira_booking]` shortcode.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `bookira` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the plugin from the Plugins screen.
2. Activate Bookira.
3. Follow the three steps under *Getting started* above.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do my clients need an account? =

No. They enter their name and email and receive a confirmation by email.

= Can I change how the booking page looks? =

Yes. Under **Bookira → Settings → Booking page appearance** choose the Bookira card (one step at a time, in the two colours you pick, on a background that follows your theme) or a plain layout that inherits your theme's colours. Both use your theme's fonts. You can also set it per page: `[bookira_booking style="theme"]`.

= Does it work with Elementor and other page builders? =

Yes. Elementor has a **Bookira Booking** widget with the same options as the block. In any other builder, add the `[bookira_booking]` shortcode with its shortcode or text element.

= Can I show only one meeting type? =

Yes. Choose it in the block or Elementor widget settings, or use `[bookira_booking type="intro-call"]` with the meeting type's slug or ID. You can put several booking pages on one page, one per meeting type.

= Can I change the booking page title? =

Yes, in the block or widget settings, or in the shortcode: `[bookira_booking title="Book a call" subtitle="Pick a time that suits you."]`. Turn off "Show title and intro" (or use an empty value in the shortcode) to hide them.

= Reminders arrive late. Why? =

Reminders use WP-Cron, which runs only when your site gets visits. On low-traffic sites, set up a real system cron job that calls `wp-cron.php`.

= What happens to my data if I delete the plugin? =

Your bookings are kept unless you enable **Bookira → Settings → Data → Uninstall** before deleting the plugin.
