Getting started
  • Create a candifly account if you haven't done so already, it takes less than a minute
  • On your candifly dashboard, go to Calendars and create your your first calendar -
    • Choose a calendar name
    • Choose its skin from our list of skins
    • Click the Create button
  • Add events to your calendar in any of the following ways -
    • Under the Events tab, click the button at the top-right side of the panel
    • Click any available date on the calendar preview panel to the right (behavior may change between skins)
    • Import from Google or Outlook - simply click the button at the top-right side of the panel. Click here to learn more.
    • Add iCalendar/ICS feed that automatically sync events from an external source with your calendar - click on the Feeds tab, and then click the to add a new feed URL
  • Publish your calendar easily in various ways - either a shortcode, an HTML snippet, or a customized landing page with a uniue link
Landing page

You can display your calendar in various ways, one of them is using your built in calendar landing page.

Each calendar has a unique handle that is prefixed to the end of dedicated URL (https://app.candifly.com/c/) to form your unique landing page. Click here to learn how to add a unique handle.

Your landing page can be customized and designed - change the title color and size, calendar size, background color and more.
To customize your landing page -

  • Click on your calendar under the Calendars tab, or select it from your Candifly dashboard, to open your calendar settings page
  • On your calendar settings page, click on the Export tab
  • Under Landing Page, click Edit landing page
  • On the top bar, adjust the display options
  • Click Save

After adjusting your landing page, and creating a handle, you can copy your unique URL (Export Tab -> Landing page -> click the button), and distribute it as a URL, or as a link from your page, or embedding it using an IFrame.

How to add calendars to pages and posts

Candifly allows you to display your calendar in 3 different ways -

  • HTML Tag - You can copy a short HTML snippet and paste it directly on your page -
    • Click on your calendar under the Calendars tab, or select it from your Candifly dashboard, to open your calendar settings page
    • On your settings page, click on the Export tab
    • Under HTML Tag, click on the icon to copy the HTML tag to your clipboard
    • Using your WordPress editor, paste the HTML tag to a placeholder on your page or post, the calendar will auto-load itself into your page
  • Shortcode - Insert a formatted candifly shortcode -
    • Click on your calendar under the Calendars tab, or select it from your Candifly dashboard, to open your calendar settings page
    • On your settings page, click on the Export tab
    • Under WordPress Shortcode, click on the icon to copy the shortcode to your clipboard
    • Using your WordPress editor, create a shortcode block, and paste the shortcode string you just copied, the calendar will auto-load itself into your page
  • Landing Page - You can also share your calendar using a dedicated link that leads to a customized landing page -
    • Click on your calendar under the Calendars tab, or select it from your Candifly dashboard, to open your calendar settings page
    • On your settings page, click on the Export tab
    • Under Landing Page, choose a unique handle that will be your prefix for your unique landing page URL, click the save button
    • You can now distribute your calendar URL to whoever you wish, or add a link to it from your page

Import events

You can easily import events from Google or Outlook to any of your calendars -

  • Click on your calendar under the Calendars tab, or select it from your Candifly dashboard, to open your calendar settings page
  • On your calendar settings page, click on the Events tab and click the button to begin the import process.
    A new window will popup to choose the source of your events, at this stage we support Google and Outlook. Choose your source.
  • A popup from your origin will appear, choose the account from which you want to import the events, mark the checkbox to grant Candifly read permission* from your account calendars.
    *Important: Candifly will not alter any of your account data, it will only read data from your account. All imported data stays safe and we will never share it with anyone.
  • After confirming and granting permissions, a list of all your account’s calendars will display, choose the calendar from which you want to import your events.
  • A list of events from that calendar will appear, mark the checkboxes of the events you want to import and click the Import button at the top right. You can browse through earlier or later events using the Previous and Next buttons on the top right.
