Connect your site to Clico: AI-written draft posts with photos, plus safe SEO updates for Yoast and Rank Math, always with your approval.

== Description ==

Clico is an SEO assistant for small businesses. This plugin is the bridge between your WordPress site and the Clico AI Agent (a service by Clico, https://clico.ai). It does nothing on its own: it only answers requests that come from your own Clico account, authenticated with a WordPress Application Password that you approve in your dashboard.

What the Clico AI Agent can do on your site through this plugin:

* **Create new blog posts as drafts.** Posts are always created as drafts. They are published only when you click Publish in Clico (or in WordPress).
* **Upload photos** from a free photo bank (or your own photos) to your Media Library, with alt text, and set the featured image.
* **Read and update SEO fields** of your blog posts: SEO title, meta description, focus keyword and social title/description. Works with Yoast SEO and Rank Math.
* **Edit the text of blog posts** with small, validated changes, guarded by a content hash, so nothing is overwritten if someone edited the post in the meantime.
* **Undo.** Every change keeps the previous state; posts created by Clico can be moved to the trash.
* **FAQ structured data.** Posts created by Clico that include a FAQ get FAQPage JSON-LD in the page head, only while the questions are still visible in the post.

Safety by design:

* Only blog posts can be changed. Pages (landing pages) are read-only.
* Publishing and removing only work on posts that Clico itself created.
* Content that adds scripts, iframes, style tags, event attributes or javascript: URLs is refused.
* Every route requires authentication and the capability to edit the content in question.
* The plugin does not collect data, show ads, or contact any server on its own.

== External services ==

This plugin is a connector to the Clico service and needs a Clico account to be useful (the AI features run on Clico's servers).

**Clico (https://clico.ai).** Your Clico account sends authenticated requests to your site's REST API (`/wp-json/clico/v1`). The plugin never sends your data to Clico by itself; it only answers requests. Data returned to Clico on request: SEO fields and text of the posts Clico is working on, and the result of its own write operations. Terms: https://clico.ai/en/terms-of-service/. Privacy: https://clico.ai/en/privacy-policy/.

**Photo banks: Pixabay (https://pixabay.com) and Pexels (https://www.pexels.com).** When Clico asks the plugin to add a photo, the plugin downloads that image file from `pixabay.com`, `cdn.pixabay.com` or `images.pexels.com` (and only those hosts) and stores it in your Media Library. Only the image URL provided by Clico is requested; no personal data is sent. Pixabay terms: https://pixabay.com/service/terms/. Pexels terms: https://www.pexels.com/terms-of-service/.

== Installation ==

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New, search for "Clico AI Agent", then Install and Activate.
2. In Clico (https://clico.ai), open the AI Agent, choose "Connect WordPress" and enter your site address.
3. WordPress asks you to approve an Application Password for Clico. Approve it.
4. Back in Clico, the connection shows as ready.

You need an administrator or editor account to approve the connection. If your host disables Application Passwords, ask them to enable it.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does the plugin publish anything by itself? =
No. Posts created by Clico are drafts until you publish them.

= Can it change my pages or landing pages? =
No. Only blog posts can be changed. Pages are read-only.

= Do I need Yoast SEO or Rank Math? =
No, but SEO fields are only written when one of them is active. Creating posts works without them.

= How do I remove it? =
Disconnect the site in Clico and deactivate the plugin. You can also delete the "Clico" Application Password under Users > Profile. Posts, photos and SEO fields already created stay on your site.

= Does it work with multisite? =
