Converts uploaded JPEG and PNG images to WebP and AVIF, and serves the best format each browser supports.

== Description ==

Decanter Images converts JPEG and PNG images to WebP and AVIF when they are uploaded. Conversion runs on your own server using GD or Imagick; no external service is used.

Images are served with a `<picture>` element so each browser gets AVIF, WebP, or the original, in that order of preference.

* Choose which source formats to convert (JPEG, PNG).
* Set WebP and AVIF quality separately.
* Keep or remove the original files (originals are kept by default).
* A converted file larger than its original is discarded.
* An admin notice is shown when the server cannot create WebP or AVIF.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `decanter-images` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install it from the Plugins screen.
2. Activate the plugin.
3. Adjust the options on the plugin's settings page.
