Accept donations on any WooCommerce product. Let customers give a fixed or custom amount with a clean, mobile-friendly donation form.

== Description ==

**Donations & Fundraising Lite** lets your WooCommerce store accept donations on any product. Turn a Simple product into a donation product, offer preset amounts or a "give what you want" field, and the product page shows a clean donation form in place of the usual price and Add to Cart button. The amount the customer chooses flows straight into the cart and order.

Lite lets your store accept donations on any product. Pro turns donations into a fundraising campaign — set goals with progress bars, let donors pick a cause, and place donation forms on Cart, Checkout, and any page via shortcode or block.

= What you get in Lite =

* Enable donations on any Simple product.
* Fixed preset amounts (add as many as you like — no cap).
* User-defined "open" amount with optional minimum and maximum.
* Use presets, an open amount, or both together.
* Choose how presets appear: dropdown, radio buttons, or buttons.
* Custom amount-field label, placeholder, and donate-button label.
* Optional currency symbol, before or after the amount.
* The donation amount is shown on the cart line and saved to the order.
* Built for modern WooCommerce: declares compatibility with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) and the Cart & Checkout Blocks.

= Donations & Fundraising Lite vs Pro =

Lite accepts donations on any product page. [Donations & Fundraising Pro](https://woocommerce.com/products/donations-fundraising/?utm_source=wp_lite&utm_medium=readme&utm_campaign=donations_fundraising) turns them into full fundraising campaigns:

* **Fundraising goals with live progress bars** — by amount, percentage, donation count, or deadline.
* **Causes** — let donors pick a cause, each with its own image and description.
* **Cart & Checkout donations** — show donation forms on the Cart and Checkout pages.
* **Cart & Checkout Blocks widgets** — donation widgets for block-based stores.
* **Place donations anywhere** — drop a donation form onto any page or post with a shortcode or block.
* **Multiple layouts** — additional donation form layouts and styled designs.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does this require WooCommerce? =
Yes. If WooCommerce is not active you'll see an admin notice, and the donation features load only when WooCommerce is present.

= What's the difference between Lite and Pro? =
Lite lets your store accept donations on any product. Pro turns donations into a fundraising campaign — set goals with progress bars, let donors pick a cause, and place donation forms on Cart, Checkout, and any page via shortcode or block. See [Donations & Fundraising Pro](https://woocommerce.com/products/donations-fundraising/?utm_source=wp_lite&utm_medium=readme&utm_campaign=donations_fundraising).

= Can I set a fundraising goal or show a progress bar? =
Goals and progress bars are a Pro feature. Lite focuses on accepting donations on the product page. [Learn more about Pro](https://woocommerce.com/products/donations-fundraising/?utm_source=wp_lite&utm_medium=readme&utm_campaign=donations_fundraising).

= Can I add donations to the Cart or Checkout page? =
Lite shows the donation form on the product page. Donations on the Cart and Checkout pages — for both classic and block-based stores — are a Pro feature.

= Does it work with the block-based Cart and Checkout? =
Yes. Lite declares full compatibility with the WooCommerce Cart & Checkout Blocks and with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS), so it never breaks those screens. The donation widgets that appear inside the Cart and Checkout Blocks are a Pro feature.

= Can I place a donation form on any page? =
Placing donation forms on any page or post (via shortcode or block) is a Pro feature. In Lite, the donation form appears on the donation product's own page.
