Adding puzzles to pages

Every puzzle you save is added to a page or post as a real Gutenberg block — never a shortcode.

  1. Open any page or post in the WordPress Block Editor.
  2. Click the block inserter (+) and search for one of: Ev Crossword Viewer, Ev Word Search Viewer, or Ev Checkered Force.

  3. Add the block, then open its settings panel in the right-hand sidebar and pick which saved puzzle to display (for Checkered Force, pick the difficulty instead).

  4. Publish or update the page. The puzzle is stored inside the block itself, so the page doesn't depend on anything else to display it.
One puzzle, many pages

The same saved crossword, word search, or Checkered Force entry can be added to as many pages as you like — add the block again elsewhere and pick the same puzzle. Removing a block from one page never deletes the puzzle or affects any other page using it.
