== Description ==

EventQora is an event management plugin for WordPress for creating events, configuring tickets, managing bookings and attendees, and displaying event calendars.

Features include:
* Event and occurrence management.
* Ticket types and inventory.
* Booking and reservation management.
* Calendar views and iCalendar export.
* REST API endpoints for published event information and access-controlled ticket and booking information.
* Optional PayPal payment processing.
* CSV event importing.

PayPal payments and Google Maps functionality are optional and require the corresponding configuration. See External services for details.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the eventqora directory to /wp-content/plugins/.
2. Activate EventQora from Plugins in WordPress.
3. Configure the event, booking, email and payment settings.
4. Create an event and configure its ticket types.
5. Configure PayPal only if online payment checkout is required.

== Privacy ==

EventQora stores information used to manage events, bookings and attendees. Depending on how the site is configured and used, this may include attendee names, email addresses, phone numbers, booking details, attendance records and payment transaction metadata.

The plugin includes WordPress personal data export and erasure integrations. Site administrators should review these features, establish appropriate retention periods, and ensure their privacy policy explains how personal data is collected, used and retained.

The plugin does not determine the site's legal obligations. Administrators should verify data export, erasure and retention behavior against their site's configuration and applicable requirements.

== External services ==

EventQora can communicate with third-party services when the site administrator enables the corresponding feature. These services are not required for basic event publishing.

= PayPal =

PayPal is used when the site administrator enables and configures PayPal payments. The plugin communicates with PayPal to perform supported payment operations, which may include creating, capturing, verifying or refunding transactions. Payment-related information such as amounts, currency and provider transaction references may be processed. Customers may also interact directly with PayPal during checkout.

= Google Maps Platform =

Google Maps is optional. When the site administrator enables maps and configures an API key, EventQora loads the Google Maps JavaScript API in the visitor's browser. The browser then communicates with Google Maps Platform to provide map functionality. Google may process technical request information and information needed to provide the service under its current terms and privacy policy.

Privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

The site operator is responsible for configuring API keys, reviewing the current third-party terms, and providing any additional disclosures required for the site's use of these services. Map requests may include the configured API key and venue location or search information needed to display the map.

= Remote image importing =

When an administrator imports an event image from a remote URL, the server makes an HTTP request to the supplied URL to retrieve and validate the image. The request occurs as part of the administrator-initiated import operation.

== Uninstall and data retention ==

By default, uninstalling EventQora preserves event and booking data. Site operators who want to enable the plugin's data-purge behavior can define `EVQRA_DELETE_DATA_ON_UNINSTALL` as `true` in `wp-config.php` before uninstalling. Review the plugin's uninstall behavior and back up the site before enabling a data purge.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does the plugin require PayPal? =

No. PayPal is optional and is needed only if the site administrator enables online checkout through the PayPal gateway.

= Does the plugin support multiple ticket types in one booking? =

EventQora supports booking items for multiple ticket types and quantities. The available checkout and attendee workflows depend on the configured booking options.

= Does EventQora provide a REST API? =

EventQora provides REST API endpoints under the `eventqora/v1` namespace. Available endpoints and the information they return depend on the route. Review the endpoint permission rules before exposing ticket or booking data, and test access with anonymous visitors, booking owners and other authenticated users.
