Automatically brand the login screen with your site logo, a link to your homepage, and your site title as the hidden H1. Zero configuration.

== Description ==

Tired of manually customizing every wp-login.php page on every website?

Install and activate FC Login Customizer and let the plugin handle a few nice customizations for you, automatically.

**Core features**

* Automatically display your site's logo (the one set in the Customizer) on the login page, resized to fit if it is wider than 300px.
* Automatically link the logo to the site's homepage instead of WordPress.org.
* Automatically change the hidden H1 title to the site's name.
* Adds the "Logo" field under Site Identity even on themes that don't declare native support for it, so the login logo works regardless of the active theme.

Most people don't want the login screen to show the WordPress logo with a link to WordPress.org. Clients keep asking to change the logo, SEOs keep asking to change the hidden H1 title, UX designers keep asking to change the link that wraps the login logo. This plugin fixes all of that with one click, with no external requests, no files written to disk, no bundled fonts, and no tracking of any kind.

FC Login Customizer is developed and maintained by Codifigata.

**Developer filters**

`cdfg_flc_logo_max_width` (int $max_width)
Filters the maximum width (in px) applied to the logo on the login page. Default: `300`. The height is always scaled proportionally. Return `0` to disable resizing.

Example:

`
add_filter( 'cdfg_flc_logo_max_width', function( $max_width ) {
    return 200;
} );
`

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install it from the WordPress "Plugins" screen.
2. Activate the plugin from the WordPress "Plugins" menu.
3. Go to Appearance → Login Screen to enable/disable each customization.
4. Log out to see the changes on the login screen (they don't apply retroactively to an already-rendered page).

**Important:** the login logo is read from the standard WordPress "Logo" field under Appearance → Customize → Site Identity — not from any logo setting your theme may have on its own settings panel. Many multipurpose/page-builder themes manage their header logo separately from this field, so it can be empty even if your site already shows a logo. This plugin adds the Site Identity Logo field automatically if your theme doesn't already support it, but you still need to set an image there yourself (it can be the same file used for your theme's own logo) for the login screen to pick it up.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= I upgraded from version 1.x. Are my settings kept? =

Yes. Version 2.0.0 is a complete rewrite, and your previous choices (including any customization you had switched off) are migrated automatically the first time you open the WordPress admin after the update. The old settings are then removed from the database.

= Is there a recommended logo format? =

For best results, use a logo with a transparent background, such as a PNG. JPGs are supported too, but since they always have a background color, this could clash with the login screen's UI.

= Is there a specific size for the logo? =

The maximum width is 300px. Wider logos are scaled down automatically, keeping their proportions. Developers can change this limit with the `cdfg_flc_logo_max_width` filter.

= Why do I still see the WordPress logo? =

Make sure a site logo is set under Appearance → Customize → Site Identity (or Appearance → Editor → Site Identity on block themes), then log out and reload the login page — a cached page can also be the cause.

This is a different setting from your theme's own logo option, if it has one. On many themes (especially multipurpose/page-builder themes) the logo shown in the site header comes from a theme-specific settings panel, not from Site Identity, so Site Identity's Logo field can be empty even though your site already displays a logo. You need to set it explicitly — you can upload the same image file you already use as your theme's logo.

= Can I set an arbitrary logo, link, or title? =

No. This plugin intentionally has no free-form fields: it only automates the connection between customizations already available in WordPress (Customizer logo, Site Address, Site Title) and the login screen, without adding new settings to keep track of.

= Where do the customizations come from? =

* Logo: Appearance → Customize → Site Identity → Logo (not your theme's own logo setting, if it has a separate one — see the FAQ above).
* Logo link: Settings → General → Site Address (URL).
* Hidden H1: Settings → General → Site Title.

= Where is the plugin's settings page? =

Appearance → Login Screen. You can also reach it from the "Settings" link on the Plugins screen.

= Is this plugin free to use? =

Yes. It is totally free, with no ads, no upsells and no tracking.

= What happens to the plugin's data on uninstall? =

On uninstall (not on simple deactivation), the plugin removes its settings and the per-user "activation notice dismissed" flag, including any leftover data from version 1.x. No database tables are created.
