Fotogenic AI UI source and build instructions
============================================

This directory is the public source snapshot for the UI JavaScript and CSS in
assets/generated of the enclosing plugin. It includes the maintained TypeScript
and CSS-module inputs, exact dependency manifest and lockfile, and build settings.
Other runtime JavaScript, CSS and PHP are supplied as readable files elsewhere
in the plugin. The plugin license in LICENSE.txt also applies to this source.

Rebuild in a separate copy, not an active WordPress installation:

1. Copy this entire source directory to an empty working directory.
2. Install Node.js 22 with npm.
3. In that directory run:

   npm ci --no-audit --no-fund
   npm exec -- tsc --noEmit
   npm exec -- vite build

The rebuilt files are assets/generated/fotogenic-ui.js and fotogenic-ui.css
inside this working directory. Compare them byte for byte with the original
plugin's assets/generated files. Build dependencies are downloaded from the npm
registry using package-lock.json; a GitHub account or private repository is not
required. Do not update dependencies or the lockfile when reproducing a release.

The package.json is copied unchanged from the development project for exact
dependency provenance. Its repository-only scripts reference development tools
that are intentionally not included in the plugin. Use the commands above to
type-check and rebuild this standalone public snapshot.

Maintainers edit the canonical src/ and build configuration in the development
project. npm run build:ui rebuilds the runtime and generates this directory.
The generated-assets and release gates reject missing, extra, or stale snapshot
files. Do not edit a snapshot independently of the canonical source.
