Lightweight scroll animations and gradient text for core blocks. No dependencies, no jQuery — just a few KB of CSS and vanilla JS.

== Description ==

Fuwari Block Effects adds subtle scroll animations and gradient text to WordPress core blocks. "Fuwari" is a Japanese word for something soft and floaty — exactly how your content will appear.

No extra libraries, no settings screens. Select a block, pick an effect in the sidebar, done.

**Animations** (play once when the block scrolls into view, or replay on every re-entry with the Repeat toggle):

* **Fade Up / Fade Down / Fade In** — classic entrance animations
* **Box Reveal** — a colored box covers the element, then slides away to reveal it. Choose the slide direction (right / left / up / down) and the box color (Purple / Orange / Blue / Dark)

**Gradient text** — three built-in gradients (Purple, Orange, Blue), plus a Custom option where you set the start and end colors with hex values.

**Alternating columns** — an option for the Columns block that reverses column order on desktop, useful for text/image zigzag layouts.

Supported blocks — animations: Paragraph, Heading, Quote, Button, Image, Group, Columns, Cover, Gallery, List. Gradient text: Paragraph, Heading, Quote, Button. Column layout: Columns.

= Built to be safe =

* Content stays visible if JavaScript is disabled or fails to load
* Respects the `prefers-reduced-motion` user setting
* Falls back gracefully on browsers without IntersectionObserver
* No data collection, no external requests, no tracking

= Customization =

Override the Box Reveal color from your theme's Additional CSS:

`body { --fuwari-reveal-color: #f5576c; }`

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. Select a supported block in the editor.
3. Choose an animation or gradient in the "Block Effects" panel in the block sidebar.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does it work with any theme? =

Yes. The plugin adds CSS classes to blocks, so it works with both block themes and classic themes.

= What happens if I deactivate the plugin? =

Nothing breaks. The CSS classes remain in your content but simply have no effect until you reactivate.

= Why doesn't the animation play for some visitors? =

If the visitor's OS is set to "reduce motion", the plugin intentionally shows content immediately without animation, for accessibility.
