Simple, complete SEO for small business websites: titles, local business schema, sitemap, redirects, cookie banner. No upsells, no nags.

== Description ==

Fuzzy Logic SEO is made by Fuzzy Studio, a Kent-based web and marketing team, for the small business websites we look after. It does the SEO jobs a local business actually needs, explains each one in plain English, and stays out of the way. Everything is free. There is no paid version, no upgrade prompts and no account to create.

= Titles and descriptions =

* Set the Google title and description for every page and post, with a live Google preview and character counters.
* A bulk editor puts every page's title and description on one screen.
* Sensible automatic titles and descriptions for anything you haven't written yourself.
* Hide thank-you pages, private offers, tag pages, author pages and other thin pages from Google.

= Local business details =

* Shares your business name, address, phone number, opening hours, areas covered and social profiles with Google as structured data (schema.org).
* Links your Google Business Profile and builds a "leave us a review" link to send to happy customers.
* Breadcrumb trails in Google results.

= Google, Bing and social sharing =

* Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools verification.
* Optional Google Analytics 4, using Google Consent Mode so nothing is stored until the visitor agrees.
* Social sharing tags for Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and X.

= Cookie banner =

* An optional, simple cookie banner with equally weighted Reject and Accept buttons.
* Works with the plugin's Google Analytics setting automatically. Other scripts can listen for the `flseo:consent` event.
* Link to `#cookie-settings` anywhere on the site to let visitors change their mind.

= Sitemap, redirects and 404s =

* A clean XML sitemap at /sitemap.xml that leaves out hidden, password-protected and redirected pages, and is added to robots.txt.
* Redirects, including wildcards, with hit counts.
* A 404 log of missing pages, with a suggested page to redirect each one to.

= Health check and help =

* A health check with a score and plain-English advice, from search engine visibility to missing alt text.
* A guide to what Google Search Console's "page indexing" messages mean and what to do about each.

= Moving from another plugin =

One click copies titles, descriptions and "hide from Google" settings from SmartCrawl, Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress and Jetpack, and redirects from 301 Redirects, Redirection and Rank Math. Nothing is deleted from the old plugin. While another SEO plugin is still active, Fuzzy Logic SEO waits on standby so nothing is printed twice.

== Installation ==

1. In WordPress, go to Plugins › Add New, search for "Fuzzy Logic SEO", then click Install and Activate.
2. Open Fuzzy Logic SEO › Health check and work down the list.
3. Moving from another SEO plugin? Use the Import & tools tab, then deactivate the old plugin.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Is there a paid version? =

No. Every feature is in this plugin, and it will stay that way.

= Can I use it alongside Yoast, Rank Math or another SEO plugin? =

You can install it alongside one while you move over, but only one SEO plugin should print titles and tags. Fuzzy Logic SEO stays on standby until the other plugin is deactivated.

= Does it work with my theme or page builder? =

Yes. It uses standard WordPress features for titles and tags, so it works with any well-made theme, including Divi, Elementor and block themes.

= Where is my sitemap? =

At yoursite.com/sitemap.xml. The Sitemap tab shows the exact address and how to submit it to Google.

= What happens to my data if I delete the plugin? =

The plugin's settings, redirects and 404 log are removed. The titles and descriptions saved on each page are kept, so they come back if you reinstall it.

= Do I need the cookie banner? =

If the site uses Google Analytics or other non-essential cookies, UK and EU visitors should be asked first. If your site already has a cookie banner from another tool, leave this one switched off.

== External services ==

This plugin only connects to an outside service if you turn on Google Analytics.

**Google Analytics 4 (Google tag)**
When you enter a Measurement ID on the Google tab, each page loads Google's tag script from www.googletagmanager.com, and visit data (such as the pages viewed, the referring site, device and browser details) is sent to Google Analytics. Logged-in editors are never tracked. If "Wait for cookie consent" is on, Google Consent Mode stops Analytics storing cookies until the visitor accepts the cookie banner. Nothing is sent if no Measurement ID is entered.

Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

The admin screens also contain ordinary links to Google Search Console, Google's Place ID finder and Bing Webmaster Tools. Nothing is sent to them unless you click a link.
