Help local service businesses reduce out-of-area website inquiries using the LocalLeadsFilter hosted service.

== Description ==

LocalLeadsFilter helps businesses manage website inquiries from visitors who may be outside their service area. Once your website's domain and service-area settings have been configured in the LocalLeadsFilter service, this plugin loads the LocalLeadsFilter client script on public-facing WordPress pages and posts. Local visitors can continue using the site, while other visitors may be asked to confirm their ZIP code or shown a service-area notice according to the business's configuration.

This is an integration with an external software-as-a-service (SaaS) product, not a standalone service-area database or an on-site filtering engine. An active LocalLeadsFilter account or trial and a configured website domain are needed for filtering to function. Activating this WordPress plugin alone does not create an account or start a trial. The hosted service offers a 14-day trial and a paid subscription for ongoing use; see the service website for current details.

When activated, the plugin asks visitors' browsers to load JavaScript from https://api.localleadsfilter.com/script.js. The hosted JavaScript communicates with https://api.localleadsfilter.com/ to check whether a visitor is within the configured service area, process ZIP-code confirmation submissions, and record filtering events. Requests necessarily involve network information such as the visitor IP address; location-related information available to the service, submitted ZIP codes, page paths, and filtering decisions or events may also be processed. These external requests occur as visitors load and interact with protected pages. Website operators should review the service's policies and their own visitor privacy notices before activating the plugin.
