Connect your WordPress site to Metaventus: cookie banner, chatbot, forms and appointment booking, without code.

== Description ==

* **Cookie banner** — loaded first on every page, so consent is asked before trackers run. `[metaventus_cookie_settings]` adds a "Manage cookies" link.
* **Chatbot** — the Metaventus chat bubble on every page, with a check that your domain is allowed.
* **Forms** — `[metaventus_form key="frm_…"]`, inline, behind a link (`mode="popup"`) or as a floating button (`mode="bubble"`).
* **Booking** — `[metaventus_booking url="https://meet.metaventus.com/…"]` inline or `mode="popup"`, plus an optional floating "Book" button on every page.

Connect with a Metaventus secret API key (read-only permissions) to pick everything from lists, or paste identifiers by hand.

The key can also be set in wp-config.php: `define('METAVENTUS_API_KEY', 'sk_live_…');`

== Installation ==

1. Install the plugin from Plugins → Add New (search for "Metaventus"), or upload the zip, then activate it.
2. Open the new **Metaventus** menu.
3. Either paste a Metaventus secret API key in **Connection** (Administration centre → API keys in Metaventus) and pick your banner, chatbot, forms and booking pages from lists, or open a module and paste its identifier, copied from its embed code in Metaventus.
4. Switch on the modules you want. Forms and booking are added with their shortcodes.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need a Metaventus account? =

Yes. The banner, chatbot, forms and booking pages are created and managed in Metaventus (https://metaventus.com); this plugin shows them on your WordPress site.

= Is the API key exposed to my visitors? =

No. The key stays on your server and is only used by the admin screen to list your Metaventus items. Your public pages only receive the identifiers of the modules you switched on.

= Does the cookie banner block trackers before consent? =

The banner script is printed first in the page head, before any other script, so consent can be asked before trackers load. Trackers added by other plugins or your theme must be declared in your Metaventus banner.

= Which languages are supported? =

The admin screen is in English and can be translated on translate.wordpress.org. The banner, chatbot, forms and booking pages use the languages set in Metaventus.

== External services ==

This plugin relies on Metaventus, a third-party service run by VENTUS (https://metaventus.com). It only contacts it for the modules you switch on:

* **Public pages** load scripts from api.metaventus.com (cookie banner, chatbot, forms) and meet.metaventus.com (booking). The browser of each visitor then exchanges with Metaventus what these modules need: consent choices, chat messages, form submissions and appointment requests, plus technical data such as the page address, browser language and IP address.
* **Admin screen**, only when an API key is set: your server calls api.metaventus.com to list your banners, chatbots, forms and booking pages and to check that your domain is allowed. The key is sent with these calls.

== Changelog ==

= 1.0.0 =
* First release: cookie banner, chatbot, forms and booking.
* Replaces the internal "Ventus Cookie Manager" prototype: its banner ID is carried over and the prototype is deactivated.
