A secure, clean tool to build interactive storyboards and visual sequences using a custom post type and short code.

== Description ==

The Minimalist Storyboard Builder by Ali J Online is a specialized tool designed for video creators, animators, historians, and educators who need to display chronological events or production sequences cleanly on WordPress.

Unlike bulky gallery plugins, this tool provides a dedicated "Storyboards" dashboard. You can quickly map out scenes, assign timestamps or titles, and write detailed descriptions. The plugin then generates a highly professional, connected vertical timeline on your frontend.

Features include:
* **Dedicated Workspace:** Uses a Custom Post Type so your storyboards don't clutter your standard blog posts or pages.
* **Connected Timeline UI:** Automatically formats your scenes into a beautiful, chronological vertical timeline with connecting nodes.
* **Instant Shortcode Generator:** One-click "Copy Shortcode" button directly inside the editor.
* **Native Media Integration:** Hooks directly into the standard WordPress Media Library for seamless image uploading.
* **Extremely Secure:** Built to strict WordPress repository standards utilizing Nonces, strict data sanitization, and output escaping.
* **Lightweight & Fast:** Uses minimal custom CSS and zero bulky frontend JavaScript libraries.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `minimalist-storyboard-builder` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install the ZIP file directly through the WordPress plugins screen.
2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' screen in WordPress.
3. A new **Storyboards** menu item will appear in your left-hand WordPress dashboard menu.
4. Click **Add New Sequence**, add your scenes, and click Publish.
5. Copy the generated shortcode at the top of the editor and paste it into any Post or Page.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= How do I display a storyboard on my site? =
After publishing a storyboard, a blue box will appear at the top of the editor containing your specific shortcode (e.g., `[storyboard id="12"]`). Click the "Copy Shortcode" button and paste it anywhere on your site.

= Will the timeline look good on mobile devices? =
Yes. The timeline CSS is fully responsive. On smaller screens, the layout gracefully collapses so the images sit neatly above the descriptions, while maintaining the connected timeline track.

= Can I add a scene without an image? =
Absolutely. If you skip uploading an image for a specific scene, the description text box will automatically expand to fill the full width of the timeline card.
