Free, lightweight accessibility toolbar in 9 languages, RTL and LTR. Works the moment you activate it. No tracking, no account.

== Description ==

NB Accessibility adds a clean, keyboard-operable accessibility toolbar to your site — completely free, with no account, no tracking, and zero external network calls. Everything runs locally in the visitor's browser.

**Toolbar features (each can be toggled in settings):**

* Text size (70%–200%)
* Text spacing
* Readable font
* Contrast modes: high, inverted, monochrome
* Highlight links & headings
* Stop animations
* Large cursor
* Reset + link to your accessibility statement page

**Simple by design:** activate the plugin and the toolbar is live. No setup wizard, no account, and nothing to configure unless you want to.

**9 languages, RTL and LTR:** the toolbar follows your site's language and direction automatically. Translations for English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Persian and Hebrew are built in, including regional variants such as Mexican Spanish, Swiss German and Canadian French. More languages can be added through translate.wordpress.org. No language setting to fiddle with.

**Works on every screen:** the toolbar adapts to desktop, tablet and mobile, and is fully usable by touch and keyboard.

**Privacy by architecture:** visitor preferences are stored only in their own browser (localStorage). The plugin never contacts external servers and collects no data.

**Honest scope:** this is a usability toolbar for your visitors. It does not claim to make your site compliant with any law or standard — no plugin can promise that.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `nb-accessibility` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` or install it from the plugin directory.
2. Activate the plugin through the *Plugins* menu in WordPress.
3. Go to *Settings → NB Accessibility* to choose the button position, color, statement page, toolbar features, and excluded pages.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= In which language is the toolbar displayed? =
It follows your site language automatically, in the right direction (RTL or LTR). Translations for English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Persian and Hebrew, including their regional variants, are built in and load on WordPress 6.8 and later. Other languages can be added through translate.wordpress.org; until a translation exists, the toolbar shows in English, left to right.

= Does it slow down my site? =
It loads a single small deferred script, plus a short inline snippet that applies a visitor's saved settings before the page is painted. No dependencies and no external requests. The effect on performance depends on your page content and the features visitors enable.

= Does it collect visitor data? =
No. Settings are stored in each visitor's own browser (localStorage). Nothing is sent anywhere.

= Will this make my site legally compliant? =
No — and beware of any tool that promises that. This toolbar improves the browsing experience for visitors who need these adjustments; legal compliance depends on your site's content and code.

= Can I hide the toolbar on specific pages? =
Yes — add their IDs (comma-separated) under *Settings → NB Accessibility → Exclusions*.

= Can developers control it from code? =
Yes. The `nb_a11y_show_toolbar` filter decides whether the toolbar loads on the current request, and the `nb_a11y_config` filter changes the configuration passed to the toolbar script.

= Where is the source code? =
All of it ships with the plugin, in human-readable form. The JavaScript in `assets/js/accessibility.js` is the original, unminified source; there is no build step and no compiled or generated code.
