Create one simple, fast and responsive WordPress popup without technical knowledge or an external account.

== Description ==

Octoweb Popup is designed for useful information popups: opening hours, exceptional closures, announcements, events and non-urgent notices.

Included features:

* One popup with a separate internal name and public title.
* A restricted WYSIWYG text editor with paragraphs, emphasis, lists and text links.
* One optional responsive media-library image and alternative text.
* Five accessible predefined palettes.
* One centered responsive Standard size.
* A 1-to-30-second delay.
* Display on every page or one selected page.
* Once-per-session or once-per-day frequency.
* Desktop and mobile previews.
* Keyboard, focus, Escape and reduced-motion support.
* Translation-ready English source with a POT catalog.
* No visitor or impression limit, telemetry or public external request.

Octo Popup Pro is a separate commercial add-on. Octoweb Popup does not contain hidden premium implementation, payment or licensing code.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= How many popups can I create? =

Octoweb Popup creates one popup. You can edit, disable, delete and recreate it. Unlimited popups are planned for Octo Popup Pro.

= Does the free version limit visitors or impressions? =

No. There is no visitor, impression or expiration limit.

= Does it work with Elementor, Divi or Bricks? =

The delay-based popup uses standard WordPress hooks and does not require a page-builder widget. It is designed to remain independent of Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, Bricks and the active theme.

= What is stored in the visitor's browser? =

Once-per-session uses sessionStorage. Once-per-day uses localStorage for 24 hours. The key contains the popup ID and a timestamp; it contains no personal data and is never sent to OctoWeb.

= What happens when I delete the plugin? =

Data is kept by default. Disable the retention option before deletion only if you explicitly want Free-owned data removed. Historical records migrated from the former development edition are preserved.
