Compare your pages with design images and discuss changes using shared comment markers.

== Description ==

Pixel Ghost: Design Matcher adds a Designs library and a dropdown in the native WordPress admin toolbar.

* Choose an image or PDF and set its alignment and scrolling behavior.
* Adjust opacity during preview. Center alignment in scrolling mode starts at the top of the page.
* Place numbered comment markers on individual posts and pages you can edit.
* View author names, reply to threads, and edit your own messages.
* Comments are shared per post ID, independent of the selected design. Active previews refresh comments every 15 seconds.
* Restore the selected design, opacity, and visibility per page using sessionStorage, including after changing users in the same tab.

Preview controls require a visible WordPress admin toolbar and permission to edit posts. Shared comments additionally require permission to edit the current post or page. Archives and the latest-posts homepage have no single post ID and do not support comments.

Design files load from the URL you choose, which may contact an external host. Comments and author IDs are stored in the local WordPress post metadata. Preview preferences are stored in the browser tab; closing the tab normally ends that session. No comment text is stored in sessionStorage.

PDF rendering depends on the browser. Use images for precise visual comparison. Marker positions follow page coordinates and may need reinterpretation after substantial responsive layout or content changes.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= How do I add a comment? =

Open a post or page you can edit, select a design, choose Add marker, and click the desired location. Enter your message and post it. Select an existing marker to reply or edit your own message.

= Does logging out erase my preview preferences? =

No. The same browser tab retains the selected design, opacity, and visibility for each page. They are restored after you log in with an account that can use the preview. Another tab has its own session.

= What happens to drawings from earlier versions? =

Legacy drawing records remain in the database but are no longer displayed. New annotations use comment markers.
