PixelPair guide
Open PixelPair in WordPress administration to configure your
connections and events.
Connect Meta
Run setup from Overview. Select Facebook and Instagram ads, paste
your Pixel ID or full Meta base code, then choose Save and continue.
Server delivery is optional and needs an access token. The
connection screen links to the official instructions for finding
both.
Check connection validates the saved browser configuration. With
server delivery and a test event code, it sends a real server test
and reports the platform response. Open your site and use Meta Pixel
Helper to verify browser delivery. Server acceptance alone does not
prove browser delivery or deduplication.
Consent and exclusions
Privacy contains role exclusions, IP addresses and bot filtering.
Enter one IPv4, IPv6 or CIDR range per line. Detected consent tools
must resolve the visitor’s choice before tracking begins. Without a
detected consent tool, marketing is allowed unless you enable Wait
for marketing consent.
Fast mode and Strict cache mode
Fast mode evaluates role and page-context exclusions during the PHP
page render. It assumes your page cache bypasses logged-in visitors.
Configuring any IP exclusions adds an uncached visitor eligibility
request.
Enable Strict cache mode in Settings → Advanced if your cache serves
shared pages to logged-in visitors. Strict mode always adds that
request, allowing the current visitor’s role, context and IP to be
checked. The trade-off is an additional request before tracking.
Purge your page cache after configuration changes.
Custom events and stores
In Events → Custom, choose New event, name it and select a trigger.
For a button click, enter its selector and select an event name for
each connection. Show what’s sent previews those mappings. Save and
turn on makes the event active.
Store appears when WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads is active.
Enable store tracking and choose product identifiers matching your
advertising catalog. The available store actions use the existing
consent and exclusion rules.
Activity and troubleshooting
Turn on server logging in Activity or Settings to record future
delivery results. Filter by connection or status and expand a row
for its redacted request and response. Logs do not retain matching
data or tokens. A failed connection check provides a response and a
next action.
Configuration backups
Settings → Import and export downloads saved preferences and custom
events. Tokens, executable scripts and permission grants are
excluded. Import replaces preferences and all custom events after
confirmation; it can enable tracking. Keep a backup before
importing.
AI access
Settings → Manage AI access shows availability and connection
details. Use a dedicated WordPress account with PixelPair permission
and an Application Password over HTTPS. Your MCP client must support
HTTP with Basic authentication or a compatible local proxy. Revoke
the Application Password to disconnect the client.
