Verified purchase notifications, a live-visitor counter, real order counts and countdown bars for WooCommerce, each linked to a verification page.

== Description ==

Provedly shows recent purchases, how many people are on the page right now, your real order count, and countdown or announcement bars on your store. Everything it shows comes from real data:

* Orders arrive from WooCommerce over a webhook signed with your secret, and only those get the "Verified purchase" mark.
* The live counter is a real count of visitors on the page in the last 90 seconds. No setting can raise it.
* The real orders bar shows how many verified orders your store took in the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, and stays hidden below a minimum you set.
* Countdown bars end when they say they end. Evergreen timers are disclosed as per-visitor on the public verification page.
* Every badge links to a verification page shoppers can check.

This plugin does three things: loads your Provedly widget and bars on every page, creates the WooCommerce webhook that delivers orders to Provedly, and passes the widget's anonymous visitor id to the order so Provedly can tell you which orders followed a notification.

A free Provedly account at https://provedly.app includes 2,000 impressions a month.

This plugin is free software under the GPLv2 or later, like every plugin in this directory: you can read, change and share its code. Provedly itself (the dashboard, the verification pages and the notification service) is a hosted service with its own terms and is not part of this plugin.

== External services ==

This plugin connects to Provedly (https://provedly.app), a hosted social-proof service, only after you enter a widget token or webhook URL on its settings page. It makes no network requests before that.

What is sent and when:

* Storefront pages load the widget and bar scripts from provedly.app and send them anonymous usage events (page path, a random visitor id stored in the shopper's browser, and the notification shown or clicked). Provedly stores only a hash of the visitor id.
* When an order is paid, WooCommerce delivers the order to your Provedly webhook URL over HTTPS, signed with the secret you chose: customer name, city, state, country, line items, total, currency, order id and the visitor id from the order meta. Card numbers and full street addresses are never sent.

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. In Provedly, open your widget, Data tab, Verified sources, Add, WooCommerce. Copy the webhook URL and choose a signing secret.
3. In WordPress, open Provedly in the admin menu: paste the widget token, any bar tokens, the webhook URL and the same secret. Save. The WooCommerce webhook is created for you.
4. Place a test order. It appears in Provedly within seconds with the verified mark.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does the plugin slow my store down? =
It prints one or two script tags. The widget bundle is about 6 KB gzipped, loads async and renders in a Shadow DOM.

= What data is sent to Provedly? =
Order webhooks as WooCommerce sends them (customer name, city, country, items, total) and the widget's anonymous visitor id. Provedly stores a hash of the visitor id. See https://provedly.app/privacy.

= Do I need WooCommerce? =
The widget and bars work on any WordPress site. Order sync needs WooCommerce 7 or newer.
