There is no tracking, telemetry, or remote logging. Most information comes from your WordPress site. Network requests are made only for WordPress features or actions described below.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `rddevlabs-smart-dashboard` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`.
2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen.
3. Open **RDDevLabs Smart Dashboard** in the admin menu.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does this plugin send data to an external service? =

The plugin does not send telemetry. When you manually run a broken-link check, the plugin requests URLs found in published posts and pages, including external websites. Those websites receive standard HTTP requests from your web server.

Plugin and theme discovery and installation use official WordPress.org services through WordPress core. WordPress may also contact its configured update services when checking plugin, theme, or core update information.

Directory icons and theme screenshots may load from the image URLs supplied by WordPress.org. User and comment avatars use the site's WordPress avatar configuration, which may contact an external avatar service.

= Does uninstalling remove my dashboard data? =

Yes. Uninstalling removes plugin options, related transients, and user meta created by this plugin.

= Does this plugin create backups or automatically optimize my site? =

No. Backup features detect supported backup plugins and provide recovery guidance; they do not create, restore, or verify backups. Performance tools provide diagnostics and recommendations, rather than automatic optimization.

= How are plugins and themes installed or activated? =

Directory discovery and installation use WordPress.org and WordPress core. ZIP upload links open the native WordPress installer; RDDevLabs Smart Dashboard does not process uploaded ZIP packages. Activation, deactivation, deletion, and theme switching require an explicit user action and the applicable WordPress permissions. Installing a directory item does not automatically activate it.

= Can I restore the normal WordPress administration interface? =

Yes. RD Settings includes controls for the native WordPress menu and toolbar, and the RD sidebar provides a recovery route to restore the WordPress admin UI.

== Source Code ==

All JavaScript source is included as readable, unminified files in assets/js/. These are the same files loaded by the plugin. CSS source is in assets/css/, and PHP source is included throughout the plugin.

No compilation, bundler, npm installation, or build step is required. Edit the bundled source files directly. The plugin uses WordPress-provided libraries and APIs rather than bundled third-party JavaScript libraries.
