== Description ==

**RESLVD Easy Backup is a free, fully functional manual backup plugin.**

RESLVD Easy Backup Free creates a ZIP archive of your WordPress files and a gzip-compressed SQL dump of your database with one click. It detects the WordPress path, database and table prefix automatically. The backup folder, table scope and notification email can be configured. The WordPress administrator email is used by default; notifications can be disabled.

Only the latest successfully completed backup is kept. The previous completed backup is removed only after a replacement is successfully created. Download your ZIP and keep an additional copy off the server.

The backup runs in small admin requests. No external accounts, cron jobs or shell tools are required. A secure writable backup folder outside the public web root is required. Website files are stored in the ZIP archive without extra compression; the SQL dump is gzip-compressed.

Version 1.1.4 does not include automatic backups, one-click restore or multisite support. Symbolic links and database views inside the selected scope cause a clear error instead of an incomplete backup.

== Installation ==

1. Upload and activate this ZIP.
2. Open Tools > RESLVD Easy Backup.
3. Review the backup path outside the web root and save the settings.
4. Click Create backup.

== FAQ ==

= Does it run on every server? =

It does require PHP 7.4+, 64-bit PHP, zlib and a secure writable folder outside the web root. Most shared hosting environment guarantees this.

= How do I restore a backup? =

The ZIP file contains site/, database.sql.gz and manifest.json. A step-by-step manual restore guide is included in docs/RESTORE.md inside the plugin folder. Test restores in a staging environment first.

= Does it send data anywhere? =

No backup data or telemetry is transmitted to a third party by RESLVD Easy Backup. If you enable notifications, WordPress sends status emails through the site's configured email transport. A test email option is available; a successful send result does not guarantee inbox delivery.

== Privacy ==

RESLVD Easy Backup processes website files and database contents locally on your server. It does not send backups, usage data or telemetry to third-party services. If email notifications are enabled, WordPress sends an email containing your site address and backup status to the address you configure using your site's own mail transport. The backups can contain personal data and credentials; protect and store them accordingly.
