Redesign your website by chatting. Preview your new design, then keep editing and publish in Revamp. Your WordPress website stays unchanged.

== Description ==

Give your website a fresh start without changing your live WordPress site.

Connect your Revamp account from your WordPress dashboard, describe what you would like to improve, and create a redesign of your public website. Follow its progress, compare your current website with the new design, and continue in Revamp to make it your own.

Your new website lives in Revamp, where you can keep improving it by chatting and using the visual editor. Publishing and custom domains follow your Revamp plan.

* Start a redesign from your existing website address.
* Add optional instructions about the look, content or experience you want.
* Follow progress and return to the same request after leaving the dashboard.
* Compare your current website and the available redesign preview side by side.
* Continue editing and publishing the same project in Revamp.
* Reconnect or disconnect your Revamp account from the dashboard.

Revamp is a separate hosted service. A Revamp account and available credits are required to generate a redesign. Free accounts include starter credits; additional usage and publishing options depend on your plan. The plugin does not process payments or modify your WordPress theme, content, plugins or live website.

This version starts from your public website. It does not automatically transfer private posts, member accounts, customer records, orders, plugin settings or databases. Moving a website into Revamp requires reviewing the generated result and arranging the content and features you need before changing your domain.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin ZIP through Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, or copy its folder into wp-content/plugins.
2. Activate Revamp.
3. Open Revamp in the WordPress dashboard.
4. Connect or create your Revamp account.
5. Add optional instructions, agree to send your public website address and instructions, and select Redesign my website.

Only WordPress administrators can use the plugin. Your WordPress dashboard needs HTTPS and PHP OpenSSL. Your website must have a public address that Revamp can reach.

== External service and privacy ==

The plugin connects to Revamp at https://app.revamp.dev. Connecting opens Revamp's sign-in and consent pages. Its registration, sign-in, account identity, renewal and disconnection requests use https://app.revamp.dev/api/auth/mcp/. Redesign and progress requests use https://app.revamp.dev/mcp.

During connection, the plugin sends its callback address and connection information to Revamp and receives the connected account's identifier and email address. Connection credentials are stored encrypted in WordPress using that installation's security salts. Each WordPress administrator connects their own Revamp account; connections and the latest project pointer are separate for each site.

When you explicitly start a redesign, the plugin sends your public website address, website title, instructions and a request identifier to Revamp. Revamp reads the public website to perform the requested redesign. Progress requests send the project and submission identifiers. No private WordPress posts, database exports, passwords, users or orders are uploaded by this plugin.

When a redesign is ready, its preview and your original website load in embedded frames. These pages receive ordinary browser requests. Some websites block embedded previews; their Open links remain available. The plugin does not add a separate telemetry service or tracking script to your WordPress website.

Disconnect revokes this connection and removes its local credentials and project pointer. It does not delete your Revamp account, cancel a subscription or delete your Revamp projects. Before uninstalling, each connected administrator should disconnect their account. Uninstall removes this installation's plugin settings and local credentials; it does not make remote requests or remove WordPress content.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does this replace my WordPress theme? =

No. Your redesign is a new Revamp project. Your live WordPress website stays unchanged while you preview and improve the new version.

= Can I migrate my whole WordPress installation automatically? =

No. This version uses your public website as the starting point. Private records, orders, member accounts and plugin data are not transferred. Review the content and functionality you need before publishing the new website.

= Can I keep editing after the first redesign? =

Yes. Select Continue in Revamp to open the same project in Studio, chat about changes, use the visual editor and publish according to your plan.

= Does leaving this page cancel generation? =

No. Revamp handles the request. Open the plugin again to return to your latest redesign and check its progress.

= What if a request is interrupted? =

Use Retry this request. The plugin keeps the original request identifier and instructions so that confirming the request does not intentionally start a second redesign. If generation itself fails, continue in Revamp to review the project.

= Why can't I redesign a local or private website? =

Revamp needs to reach your website through a public address. Websites available only on your computer or private network cannot be read by the service.

= Does Revamp guarantee better search rankings or conversion rates? =

No. You can request design and content improvements, but rankings, traffic and conversion results depend on your website and audience. Review the redesign, URLs and SEO settings before switching your domain.
