On-page SEO, schema, llms.txt, redirects and audits, plus an AI writer for complete articles with images.

== Description ==

**SEO**

* SEO title, meta description, focus keyword, social card, schema and robots for every post, page, term and image (Content SEO screen).
* Organization / Article / FAQ / SoftwareApplication schema, llms.txt, robots.txt rules, redirects with a 404 log, IndexNow and a site audit.
* AI Assistant that works with any AI provider connected to WordPress in Settings → Connectors (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini…) or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (Ollama, LM Studio, OpenRouter, Groq…).

**AI Writer** (formerly Content Glut)

* New AI Article: a complete article with a featured image (your connected AI provider, Stability, Cloudflare Flux, Pexels, Unsplash), FAQ, table of contents and internal links.
* Block editor sidebar and classic editor button, SEO box and SEO analysis.

**SEOGlut Pro** (separate add-on, needs this plugin)

* Bulk Generator with a background queue and drip publishing.
* Images inside articles and web research with cited sources.
* Writer SEO Tools (bulk AI meta fill, keyword cannibalization report) and Article History with costs.

Generated articles write straight into the SEO fields, so their title, description, focus keyword and FAQ show up in Content SEO, the score, the meta tags and the FAQ schema. AI provider keys are managed once for the whole site in Settings → Connectors (WordPress 7.0+).

== Installation ==

1. Deactivate Content Glut if it is installed. SEOGlut contains it and stays idle while it is active.
2. Activate SEOGlut. Settings from the old Content Glut plugin are copied into its own options once, and SEO fields written by Content Glut are copied into the shared fields. Connect Claude, OpenAI or Gemini in Settings → Connectors (WordPress 7.0+). The OpenAI-compatible endpoint key can be defined in wp-config.php as SEOGLUT_CUSTOM_AI_KEY.
3. To rebuild the admin app after changing assets/src: `npm install && npm run build`.

== External services ==

SEOGlut connects to the third-party services below. Nothing is sent until a site administrator turns the feature on or adds an API key, and every AI request is started by a logged-in user (a button in the admin, or "Generate" in the AI Writer). API keys are stored in the site's database (or in wp-config.php constants) and are sent only to the service they belong to.

= AI providers (AI Assistant and AI Writer) =

SEOGlut does not contain its own connection to any AI company. It uses one of these, chosen by the site administrator in SEOGlut → AI Assistant and in Writer Settings:

* An AI provider connected to WordPress itself (WordPress 7.0 or newer) in Settings → Connectors, such as Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Google (Gemini). The request goes through the WordPress AI Client to that provider, under the provider's own terms and privacy policy, which WordPress links to in Settings → Connectors. The API key is managed by WordPress; SEOGlut never reads or stores it.
* An OpenAI-compatible endpoint whose address the administrator enters, for example Ollama or LM Studio running on the administrator's own computer, or a hosted API such as OpenRouter, Groq, DeepSeek or Mistral. Its terms and privacy policy are those of whoever runs it.

Nothing is sent until a provider is connected, and every request is started by a logged-in user: writing an SEO title, meta description, focus keyword, FAQ or slug; filling SEO fields in bulk; writing alt text; planning content or drafting an article; the AI visibility test (which may ask the provider to search the web); or generating or rewriting an article in the AI Writer.

Each request sends the instructions for the task and the text it works on: the post or page title, URL and content (up to about 12,000 characters), the topic, keywords and notes typed by the user, the site name, URL and description from the plugin settings, and the brand voice text. Alt-text requests also send the image file. Requests to an OpenAI-compatible endpoint also send its API key (if one is set) and the site's name and URL as request headers. The answer is shown for review and is saved only when the user applies it.

= Image providers (AI Writer) =

When an image provider is chosen in Writer Settings, the AI Writer asks it for the featured image of a generated article, or for an image a user requests in the post editor. The request sends an image description written by the AI (or, for stock photos, a short search phrase), and the provider's API key where the plugin holds it. The returned image is saved to the Media Library.

* An AI provider connected to WordPress in Settings → Connectors that can create images (for example OpenAI or Google), through the WordPress AI Client, as described above.
* Stability AI (api.stability.ai): [Terms](https://stability.ai/terms-of-use), [Privacy Policy](https://stability.ai/privacy-policy)
* Cloudflare Workers AI (api.cloudflare.com), with the administrator's account ID: [Terms](https://www.cloudflare.com/website-terms/), [Privacy Policy](https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/)
* Pexels (api.pexels.com; the chosen photo is downloaded from images.pexels.com): [Terms](https://www.pexels.com/terms-of-service/), [Privacy Policy](https://www.pexels.com/privacy-policy/)
* Unsplash (api.unsplash.com; the chosen photo is downloaded from images.unsplash.com, and Unsplash's download counter is notified as its API guidelines require): [Terms](https://unsplash.com/terms), [Privacy Policy](https://unsplash.com/privacy)

= IndexNow =

Off by default. When the administrator turns on IndexNow in Sitemaps & Indexing, each time a public, indexable post or page is published or updated its URL is sent to api.indexnow.org together with the site's host name and the IndexNow key (which the plugin serves at /KEY.txt so search engines can verify it). IndexNow shares the URL with participating search engines such as Bing and Yandex.
