== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= How is the surcharge calculated? =

The surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the cart's shipping total. For example, if shipping is $10.00 and you set the surcharge to 15%, a $1.50 fuel surcharge fee will be added.

= Where does the surcharge appear? =

The surcharge appears as a separate fee line item in the cart, checkout, order confirmation page, order emails, and invoices.

= Can I apply the surcharge to multiple categories? =

The Lite version supports one product category. To apply the surcharge to multiple categories or store-wide, upgrade to [ShipLevy Fuel Surcharge Pro](https://wcfuelsurcharge.com).

= Is the surcharge taxable? =

Yes, you can enable or disable tax on the surcharge from the settings page. When enabled, standard WooCommerce tax rules apply to the surcharge fee.

= What happens if the cart has free shipping? =

If the shipping total is zero (e.g., free shipping), no surcharge is applied since the surcharge is a percentage of the shipping cost.

= Is this plugin compatible with HPOS? =

Yes. ShipLevy Fuel Surcharge Lite for WooCommerce is fully compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
