Create draft copies of posts and pages from their row actions or bulk actions.

== Description ==

Simpli Draft Copier gives editors a quick draft copying workflow for posts and pages. Use the Copy as Draft action in a list row or the bulk actions menu. The classic editor also has a Copy as Draft link in the publish box. Each copy belongs to the current user and stays unpublished for review.

The draft receives the source title, content, excerpt, parent, menu order, discussion settings, password, taxonomy terms, and custom fields. Editor locks and WordPress trash or old-slug metadata are skipped. The original item is not changed.

No settings or external service are required. Actions are shown only to users who can edit the source and create a new item of that type.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `simpli-draft-copier` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
2. Activate Simpli Draft Copier.
3. Open Posts or Pages and use Copy as Draft from a row or the bulk actions menu. In the classic editor, the link also appears in the publish box.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Which content types are supported? =

Posts and pages. Custom post types are not included.

= Will the copy be published? =

No. Every copy is created as a draft for the current user.

= Are taxonomy terms and custom fields copied? =

Yes. The plugin copies assigned terms and post metadata, except editor locks and WordPress trash or old-slug metadata. Custom fields from other plugins may still need review before publishing.
