AI chatbot for customer service. Answers your visitors from your own content, in their language, and hands the chat to your team when needed.

== Description ==

SimplyBoost Chat adds an AI customer service assistant to your WordPress
site. It answers visitors' questions around the clock from your own website
pages, documents and FAQs, replies in the language the visitor writes in,
and passes the conversation to a person on your team when it should.

Setup takes a minute: install the plugin, paste your Bot ID under
Settings → SimplyBoost Chat, and the chat bubble appears on every page.
No theme editing and no code.

= What the assistant does =

* **Answers from your own knowledge.** Add your website, PDFs, documents
and FAQs in the SimplyBoost dashboard. Answers come from that content, not
from guesses, and the assistant says so when it does not know.
* **Speaks your visitors' language.** Visitors can write in English, German,
Dutch, Spanish, French and many other languages, and get their answer in
  the same language.
* **Hands over to a person.** When a visitor asks for a person, or the
question needs one, the chat becomes a ticket for your team, with an alert
  by email or Slack.
* **Captures leads.** A short contact form appears when a visitor is ready,
for example when asking about prices or a demo.
* **Shows what it could not answer.** The Missing answers list collects the
questions your content does not cover yet, so you can add the answer once.
* **Sends your own wording when you want.** Approved answers are sent word
for word for the questions you choose.

= Built for =

* Customer service and support teams who want fewer repeat questions.
* Product specialists: questions about products, specifications and manuals.
* Shops, service businesses, dealers and agencies running WordPress sites.

= Works with your site =

* Works with any theme and page builder.
* The widget script loads asynchronously, so it does not hold up your page.
* Colours, greeting, position and font are set in your SimplyBoost dashboard
and show up without changing the plugin.
* Switch the widget off and on without uninstalling.
* The same assistant can also answer on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook
Messenger, connected from the SimplyBoost dashboard.

A SimplyBoost account is required: the assistant, its knowledge and its
look are set up in your SimplyBoost dashboard, which includes a 7-day free
trial. The chat window shows a small "Powered by SimplyBoost" label, drawn by
the SimplyBoost service; your plan can remove it. The plugin itself adds
nothing else to your pages.

== External services ==

This plugin connects your site to SimplyBoost, a third-party AI chat
service, to load and run the chat widget. This is required for the plugin
to function.

What is sent, and when:

* On every page where the widget is enabled, the widget script is loaded
from https://get.simplyboost.io/widget.js, and your configured Bot ID is
included so the correct chatbot loads.
* When a visitor opens the chat and sends a message, that message (and any
details the visitor chooses to provide, such as name or email) is sent to
the SimplyBoost API at https://get-api.simplyboost.io to generate the
reply. The visitor's IP/browser may be processed by SimplyBoost as part
of serving the chat, per SimplyBoost's privacy policy.
* No WordPress admin credentials are ever sent.

This service is provided by SimplyBoost (https://simplyboost.io). Your use

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= What is SimplyBoost Chat? =
It is the WordPress plugin for SimplyBoost, an AI chatbot for customer
service and product questions. The plugin places the SimplyBoost chat widget
on your site; the assistant itself is set up in the SimplyBoost dashboard.

= Is it free? =
The plugin is free. The assistant runs on a SimplyBoost plan, which starts
with a 7-day free trial.

= Where does the assistant get its answers? =
From the knowledge you add in the SimplyBoost dashboard: your website pages,
uploaded files such as PDFs, and your own FAQs. When that content does not
cover a question, the assistant says so and can offer your team instead of
making up an answer.

= Which languages does it support? =
The assistant replies in the language the visitor writes in, including
English, German, Dutch, Spanish and French. You can also fix one reply
language for your assistant. The chat window's own labels are translated into
English, German, Dutch, Spanish and French.

= Can a visitor talk to a person? =
Yes. The assistant hands the conversation to your team when the visitor asks
for it or the question needs a person. Your team answers from the SimplyBoost
inbox and is alerted by email or Slack.

= Does it slow down my site? =
The widget script loads asynchronously in the footer, after your page
content, so it does not block your page from showing.

= Does it work with WooCommerce? =
The chat appears on every page of your site, including WooCommerce shop and
product pages. This plugin does not read your WooCommerce data.

= Where do I find my Bot ID? =
In your SimplyBoost dashboard, open Channels, then Website, choose WordPress
and select Copy Bot ID.

= The widget isn't showing =
Make sure "Display the chat widget on my site" is checked and a valid
Bot ID is saved. Some caching plugins require clearing the cache after
saving.

= Can I change the colours or greeting? =
Yes, in your SimplyBoost dashboard (Widget page), not in this plugin.

= What data does it collect? =
The plugin stores only your Bot ID and two settings in WordPress. Chat
messages are handled by SimplyBoost as described under External services and
in the SimplyBoost privacy policy.
