Organize WordPress media with virtual collections, search, bulk organization and attachment metadata editing.

== Description ==
Open Media > SSF Media Manager. Administrators create and rename collections. Upload-capable users organize attachments they can edit. Each file can belong to multiple collections.

Features: add/remove selected files to/from collections; unassigned view; search; collection and MIME-type filters; 24-item pagination; title, plain-text caption and description editing; image alt text; native WordPress media-list collection filter and column.

Collections never move, rename, compress or delete your files. WordPress handles uploads. No third-party service, account, telemetry or API key is required. Deactivating or removing this plugin preserves media and collection data.

This release does not include checkout, license-key activation, private update delivery, cloud storage, physical folders or drag-and-drop sorting. Updating attachment metadata does not rewrite existing page blocks.

== Installation ==
1. Upload the ZIP through Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin.
2. Activate SSF Media Manager.
3. Open Media > SSF Media Manager and create collections.
4. Upload media through WordPress, then select files and add them to a collection.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does a collection move or rename the original file? =
No. Collections are virtual groups stored in WordPress. Original files, URLs and file bytes stay in place. One file can belong to more than one collection.

= Who can create collections and organize files? =
Administrators with the manage_options permission can create and rename collections. Users with upload_files permission can open the manager and organize only attachments they have permission to edit.

= Which media files can I find? =
You can search media titles, captions and descriptions, filter by collection or unassigned state, and filter images, PDF documents, audio or video. The manager shows 24 results per page.

= Will editing alternative text or a caption update pages where the image already appears? =
The plugin updates the attachment record. Existing page blocks may retain their own saved alternative text or captions. Review and update those blocks separately when needed.

= Does this plugin upload files to an external service? =
No. The plugin does not use a remote service, account, API key or telemetry. Files are uploaded through the standard WordPress uploader.

= What happens when I remove the plugin? =
Your media files, metadata and collection records are preserved. Reinstalling and activating the plugin restores its collection interface.

= Does this version include image compression, cloud storage or drag-and-drop folders? =
No. Version 0.1.2 provides the collection, search and metadata features described above. It does not include physical file folders, compression, cloud storage, drag-and-drop sorting, a paid licence system or private automatic update delivery.

= Does it manage a whole multisite network? =
The interface is designed for an individual site's media library. It does not provide network-wide collections or cross-site media management. Multisite network activation has not been validated for this release.

2. Edit attachment titles, alternative text, captions and descriptions.

== Changelog ==
= 0.1.2 =
Uses a distinctive SSFMEMA prefix for plugin identifiers. Existing collection records are upgraded without changing their IDs, memberships, metadata or original media files. Collection changes pause safely if a migration conflict or database error needs attention.

= 0.1.1 =
Added translation-ready interface strings, plural-aware selection counts and clearer request validation. Invalid rename requests cannot create a new collection. Collection data, file URLs and media permissions are preserved.

= 0.1.0 =
Initial working release.
