Accept USDC and EURC to your own wallet, cards in dollars and euros to your own Stripe account, and Pix or cards in Brazil.

== Description ==

Uruz adds a "Pay in USDC" option to your WooCommerce checkout, or "Pay in EURC" in a store that sells in euros. Your customer pays from any wallet and needs no other coin for network fees. Each payment goes directly to your wallet; Uruz never holds your money.

The store currency must be US dollars (USD) or euros (EUR). 1 USDC is 1 dollar and 1 EURC is 1 euro, so the order total is charged as it is, in the coin of the store's currency. Nothing is converted: an order in euros is paid in EURC and you receive EURC.

= Cards in dollars and euros =

Connect your Stripe account in the Uruz dashboard (Payment methods > Stripe Global) and your customers can also pay the same order by card. The checkout then reads "Pay by card or in USDC" (or "Pay by card or in EURC"), and the card payment goes straight into your own Stripe account, in dollars or euros. Available to verified Uruz accounts outside Brazil.

= Pix and cards in Brazil =

A store that sells in Brazilian reais (BRL) offers "Pay with Pix or card" instead. The customer chooses: Pix in their bank's app, paid into the store's own Mercado Pago account, or a card, paid into the store's own Stripe account (which can take Pix too). To turn them on, connect Mercado Pago (under Pix) or Stripe (under Cards) in the Uruz dashboard. Payments in reais are available to verified Uruz accounts.

= Features =

* Works with the classic checkout and the block checkout.
* Orders move to Processing only after Uruz confirms the payment on the network.
* The amount and coin paid are checked against the order total.
* Refunds sent from the Uruz dashboard are recorded in the order.
* Compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).

= How an order is paid =

1. The customer chooses "Pay in USDC" (or "Pay in EURC") and places the order.
2. The Uruz checkout opens over your store. The customer connects a wallet and confirms.
3. Uruz tells your store the payment is confirmed (webhook) and the order moves to Processing. If the webhook is late, the store asks Uruz directly.

An order is never marked as paid on the browser's word, and the amount and the coin paid are checked against the order total.

= Refunds =

Refund from your Uruz dashboard: Charges > Refund. The money goes from your wallet back to the wallet that paid, in the coin it was paid in, and the order here gets the refund by itself (a full refund moves it to Refunded). The Refund button inside WooCommerce does not send money: Uruz never holds your funds, so only your own wallet can.

== Installation ==

1. Create an account at https://app.uruzglobal.com.
2. In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New, search for "Uruz Pay", install and activate it.
3. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Uruz.
4. Paste your API key (Uruz dashboard > Settings).
5. Tick "Enable" and save. Saving also connects payment notifications (the webhook) to your store; there is nothing to copy.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does Uruz hold my money? =

No. Each payment goes directly from the customer's wallet to yours.

= What does it cost? =

The plugin is free. Uruz charges a fee per payment received; see https://uruzglobal.com for current pricing.

= Does my customer need ETH or another coin for network fees? =

No. The customer only needs the USDC or EURC for the order.

= Which store currencies work? =

US dollars (USD) and euros (EUR). In other currencies the option is not shown at checkout.

= What about chargebacks? =

Payments on the blockchain cannot be reversed by the payer. Refunds are made by you, from the Uruz dashboard. Card payments are in your own Stripe account, so their refunds and disputes are handled there, as with any Stripe sale.

== External services ==

This plugin connects to Uruz (https://uruzglobal.com), the payment service it adds to your store. It cannot work without it.

* **Uruz API (api.uruzglobal.com).** When an order is placed with Uruz, the plugin sends the order number, the total and the coin (USDC or EURC) to create the charge, and later asks for that charge's status. When the settings are saved, it sends the store's webhook address so Uruz can notify the store of payments. In a store that sells in dollars or euros, it asks Uruz, at most once an hour, whether the account takes cards, to show it at checkout. Requests are authenticated with the API key you enter.
* **Uruz checkout (pay.uruzglobal.com).** On the order's pay page, the plugin loads the Uruz checkout script, which opens the payment window where the customer connects a wallet and pays.

No data is sent until you enter an API key and enable the payment method.
