Register products and services, show them via shortcode with search and filters, and receive quote requests by WhatsApp and email.

== Description ==

Vitrinou turns your WordPress site into a simple showcase for products and/or services, without needing a full online store. Visitors browse the catalog, search and filter by category, and send a quote request — which reaches you by WhatsApp and/or email, and is also saved in your site's admin panel.

It is built for businesses that quote before selling: workshops, service providers, distributors, print shops, and anyone whose prices depend on the job.

= Features =

* Two separate content types: Products and Services, each with its own categories.
* Unlimited categories for each type.
* Simple admin screens for adding items, so you do not have to learn the standard WordPress editor.
* Shortcodes `[vitrinou_produtos]` and `[vitrinou_servicos]` display the catalog on any page, with search, category filtering, sorting and pagination.
* Quote request flow: the customer picks one or more items, fills in name/email/phone and sends it — the request opens WhatsApp with a ready-made message and/or arrives by email, and is also saved under "Quotes" in the admin panel.
* Quotes screen with a Novo / Respondido status you can toggle, so nothing is lost if an email fails to send.
* Customizable main color for the catalog, with a live preview. The hover shade is derived from it automatically.
* A dashboard with counts of products, services and quotes, plus a built-in manual explaining every screen.
* Option to lock the catalog's language independently of the site's general WordPress language.
* Sample products and services created on first activation, so you can see the catalog working immediately.

= External services =

This plugin does not send your data to any external service. The WhatsApp buttons build a standard `https://wa.me/` link that opens in the visitor's browser only when they click it; no request is made by the plugin itself and no data is transmitted in the background.

= Extending the plugin =

Every screen and template exposes actions and filters (`vitrinou_carregado`, `vitrinou_campos_item`, `vitrinou_salvar_item`, `vitrinou_imagens_item`, `vitrinou_query_catalogo`, `vitrinou_css_variaveis`, among others), so other plugins can add fields, filters and screens without modifying this one.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install it through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
3. A new "Vitrinou" menu appears in the dashboard — start with "Manual" for a step-by-step guide.
4. Add your categories, then your products and/or services.
5. Paste the shortcode `[vitrinou_produtos]` or `[vitrinou_servicos]` on any page to display the catalog.
6. Under "Settings", enter the WhatsApp number and the email address that should receive quote requests.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need an online store plugin (WooCommerce) to use this? =

No. The plugin does not process payments — it collects quote requests, which you answer directly by WhatsApp or email.

= Can I use the shortcode inside Elementor or another page builder? =

Yes, but on pages built with Elementor the shortcode must be pasted inside Elementor's own "Shortcode" widget — pasting it into the standard WordPress text editor is not read by Elementor in that case.

= How does a customer request a quote? =

They click "Add to quote" on the items they want, fill in a short form (name, email and/or phone) and submit it. The request is saved under "Quotes" in your dashboard and, if configured, opens WhatsApp with a ready-made message and/or arrives by email.

= The quote emails are not arriving. What should I check? =

Email delivery depends on your hosting having SMTP configured. Many hosts silently send nothing without it. Install an SMTP plugin and configure it with your email provider's details. Quote requests are always saved under "Quotes" even when the email fails, so nothing is lost.

= Is there a limit on how many categories or items I can create? =

No. Every feature in this plugin is fully available with no limits.

= Which languages is the plugin available in? =

The plugin is fully internationalized and translations are provided through translate.wordpress.org. Under "Settings" there is a "Catalog language" field to lock a specific language, independent of the site's language.

== Changelog ==

= 3.0.0 =
* Renamed to "Vitrinou Catálogo e Cotação", with the new `vitrinou` slug and text domain.
* Every function, class, constant, option, meta key, post type, taxonomy, shortcode and asset handle now uses the `vitrinou` prefix.
* Removed all feature restrictions: the category limit is gone and every included feature is fully functional.
* Added actions and filters throughout, so other plugins can extend the catalog without editing this one.
* Values used in the catalog's inline CSS are now escaped before output.
* Moved the settings screen's inline script into a properly enqueued file.
* Moved the admin menu below Settings instead of alongside the core items.
* Translation files are no longer bundled; translations come from translate.wordpress.org.
* Because post types, taxonomies and option names changed, this version starts with a clean catalog. See the upgrade notice below.

= 2.9.6 =
* Addressed the issues reported by the Plugin Check tool: GPL license header, readme in English, trimmed tag list, translator comments, and escaped dynamic output.

= 2.5.0 =
* Catalog colors now always respect what is set under Style, even on sites whose theme or page builder applies its own button styles.

= 2.4.0 =
* Registers sample products and services on first activation.

= 2.1.0 =
* First public version submitted to the repository.

== Upgrade Notice ==

= 3.0.0 =
Renaming the plugin also renamed its post types, taxonomies and options, so items created by earlier versions are not carried over. If you were running an earlier version, export or note your items before switching, then deactivate and delete the old plugin and install this one fresh.
