Employee time clock and attendance for WordPress. Staff clock in and clock out from any phone; managers get time entries and hours reports.

== Description ==

WebQuicky - Employee Time Clock turns your WordPress site into the employee time clock and attendance system of your business. Employees clock in and out from a phone, tablet or computer, and you get their hours, ready to review.

The plugin is complete on its own, with no limits on employees or report periods. It never contacts any external server and stores everything in your own WordPress.

= Features =

* Clock in and out, with automatic calculation of hours
* Unlimited employees
* Time entries screen with manual entries and corrections, including night shifts
* Hours reports for any period, per shift
* Change history of every correction: who changed what, and when
* Personal dashboard for every employee
* Time Clock Admin role for the people who run the time clock
* Login protection: 5 wrong passwords lock a time clock account for 15 minutes
* Works on phones, tablets and computers
* Translation-ready

= Optional Pro add-on =

WebQuicky - Employee Time Clock Pro is a separate plugin, sold at webquicky.com. It is not needed for anything listed above; it adds features of its own:

* Mandatory breaks, a company rule and a rule per employee, deducted automatically
* GPS location, captured at clock in and clock out
* Hourly rates, overtime and earnings, with payroll-ready figures
* Email notifications, including a reminder when somebody forgets to clock out
* Reports grouped by employee or by day, and CSV export
* A dedicated HR Manager role and team dashboard

= Shortcodes =

* `[wqtc_clock]` - the clock in / clock out screen, with a login form for visitors
* `[wqtc_dashboard]` - hours for the employee, or the team view for a manager

== Installation ==

1. In WordPress go to **Plugins > Add New Plugin** and search for "WebQuicky - Employee Time Clock", or choose **Upload Plugin** and the ZIP file.
2. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.
3. Create a page called Time Clock containing `[wqtc_clock]`. Its address should end in /time-clock.
4. Create a page called My Dashboard containing `[wqtc_dashboard]`, with the address /my-dashboard.
5. Go to **Time Clock > Employees** and add your staff.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Is there a limit on employees or on the report period? =

No. Add as many employees as you need and report on any period.

= Does the plugin contact any external server? =

No. It stores everything in your own WordPress database and never sends any data anywhere.

= Can I record a night shift? =

Yes. In a manual entry, a clock out time that is earlier than the clock in time is treated as the next morning.

= What is deleted when I delete the plugin? =

Nothing, unless you switch on "Delete all time clock data when I delete the plugin" under Time Clock > Settings. Many countries require you to keep working time records for years, so save or print your reports first.

= Is the login protected? =

Yes. After 5 wrong passwords a time clock account is locked for 15 minutes. You can switch this off under Time Clock > Settings.

= What does the Pro add-on add? =

Breaks, GPS location, hourly rates with overtime and earnings, email notifications, grouped reports with CSV export and the HR Manager role. It is a separate plugin from webquicky.com that you install next to this one.

= Does it work on mobile? =

Yes. The screens are made for phones first.

== Privacy ==

The plugin stores in your own database: employee accounts, clock in and clock out times, hours worked and the change history of corrected records. It does not contact any external server and collects no data.

The plugin is connected to the WordPress privacy tools: **Tools > Export Personal Data** includes an employee's time records and the change history, and **Tools > Erase Personal Data** removes their records where the law allows. Hours worked are kept, because they are records an employer has to retain.

== Changelog ==

= 1.0.4 =
* Activation only adds roles and capabilities and never removes any, so activating again keeps every user's role, including roles created by the Pro add-on.
* Deleting the plugin (with "Delete all time clock data" on) removes only this plugin's own roles and data.
* The "Get Pro" menu link no longer loads a style or script on admin screens.

= 1.0.3 =
* New name: WebQuicky - Employee Time Clock.
* No limits: unlimited employees and reports for any period.
* Shortcodes are now `[wqtc_clock]` and `[wqtc_dashboard]`.
* Settings, reports and the employee screens show only what this plugin does; nothing is locked.

= 1.0.2 =
* Change history. Every manual entry, correction and deletion keeps the old and new values, who made the change and when. Included in the personal data export.
* Login protection. After 5 wrong passwords a time clock account is locked for 15 minutes.
* New design for every screen, without emoji or inline styles.
* Dates and times follow the formats chosen under Settings on every screen.
* Fixed: two taps on Clock in at the same moment can no longer open two shifts.
* Fixed: deleting the plugin keeps all data unless you choose otherwise under Settings.

= 1.0.1 =
* First public release.

== Upgrade Notice ==

= 1.0.4 =
Safer activation: activating again never removes a role.
