CTRSpace Lite — Changelog
=========================

2.0.0
-----
Full rewrite. This is a ground-up rebuild of CTRSpace Lite, not an
incremental update on top of the 1.5 codebase — no code is shared with
1.x, though the theme slug, text domain ("ctrspace-lite") and Theme
Name are kept unchanged for a clean in-place update path for existing
users.

Removed:
- Bundled Bootstrap and Font Awesome (no longer used anywhere in the theme)
- The five-widget-area layout from 1.x (Menu widget, Sidebar, Footer
  Area 1-4), replaced by two clearly-scoped areas: Blog Sidebar and
  Footer Widgets
- Invalid HTML structure inherited from the 1.x header/footer templates

Added:
- Full block editor (Gutenberg) support: wide/full alignment, a
  matching editor color palette, editor-style.css
- Customizer "Theme Options" section: accent color, text color, body
  font and heading font, with live (postMessage) preview
- A "Full Width (No Sidebar)" page template
- Informational "Upgrade to Pro" Customizer panel and a single,
  dismissible admin notice (Themes screen only), both linking to
  https://ctrspace.com — promotional only, nothing is gated behind it
- Consistent output escaping and settings sanitization throughout,
  per the WordPress Theme Review Handbook

Changed:
- Requires PHP bumped from 5.6 to 7.0
- Requires at least (WordPress) bumped from 4.7 to 6.3
- Version scheme jumps from 1.5 directly to 2.0.0 to signal that this
  is a full rewrite and not a routine point release

Last release of the original CTRSpace Lite codebase.

= 2.5.0 - 2026-09-17 =
* Add a light/dark toggle button in the header, shown whenever "Enable
  dark mode" is on (ctrspace_lite_dark_mode_toggle() in
  inc/template-tags.php, rendered from header.php). Lets a visitor
  override the system setting for their own visit
* Add assets/js/dark-mode-toggle.js: reads/writes a single
  localStorage key ("ctrspace_lite_mode"), toggling
  html.ctrspace-lite-force-dark / .ctrspace-lite-force-light. Only
  enqueued when dark mode is enabled
* Restructure the dark-mode CSS (style.css, 1.1) into three states —
  no override (media query, no-JS fallback), forced light (:not()
  guard on the media-query rule), forced dark (unconditional rule) —
  so the toggle and the automatic system-preference behavior compose
  correctly instead of fighting each other
* Ported from the same concept in CTRSpace X (a visitor-facing
  light/dark switch, localStorage-persisted), adapted to Lite's CSS
  custom-property system instead of Tailwind's dark: variant

= 2.4.0 - 2026-09-17 =
* Add a "Blog Layout" Customizer select (ctrspace_lite_archive_layout):
  Grid (cards, the 2.3.0 default) or List (the original compact stacked
  layout, restored verbatim via a new .archive-list--list CSS variant).
  A new ctrspace_lite_archive_list_class() template tag picks the right
  wrapper class in index.php, archive.php and search.php
* Add an "Enable automatic dark mode" Customizer checkbox
  (ctrspace_lite_dark_mode_enabled, off by default). When on, adds a
  body class that activates a dark palette (text/bg/border custom
  properties) inside @media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) — no
  JavaScript, no toggle switch on the page itself, and the accent color
  is unchanged in both modes
* Refactor the grid-specific archive-list rules to .archive-list--grid
  so the two layouts can't leak into each other

= 2.3.0 - 2026-09-17 =
* Redesign the blog listing (index.php, archive.php, search.php) from a
  plain stacked list into a responsive card grid, reusing the Card visual
  established for block patterns (border, radius, shadow, bled featured
  image). Auto-fills 1-2 columns depending on viewport, no new media query
  needed
* Add an author bio card at the end of single posts (avatar, name, bio),
  shown only when the author has actually filled in a bio
* Add a related-posts card grid (same category, up to 3 posts, newest
  first) at the end of single posts
* Add an estimated reading time (200 wpm) next to the post date, shown on
  both the blog listing and single posts
* Refactor the "Card" look into a shared selector
  (.wp-block-group.is-style-card, .archive-list article,
  .ctrspace-lite-card) so new features reuse one definition
* Regenerate languages/ctrspace-lite.pot to include all strings added
  across 2.1.0-2.3.0 (it had drifted out of date)

= 2.2.0 - 2026-09-17 =
* Add a "Latest posts grid" block pattern: a centered heading followed by a
  Query Loop (three most recent posts, no pagination) rendered as a
  three-column grid of cards — featured image, title, date and excerpt,
  using the existing Card block style and a dedicated post-card layout
* Query Loop grid collapses to two columns on tablet widths and one column
  below 700px, matching the theme's existing responsive breakpoints

= 2.1.0 - 2026-09-17 =
* Add five new block patterns under a "CTRSpace Lite" category: three-column
  feature grid, centered call-to-action banner, highlighted stat layout,
  three-column pricing cards, and a simple FAQ list
* Add a third block style, "Card" (core/group), used by the pricing-cards
  pattern and available on any group block
* All new patterns use only core blocks (columns, group, heading, paragraph,
  list, buttons) and the theme's existing color palette/typography

= 2.0.1 - 2026-09-09 =
* Add copyright notice to style.css (GPL compliance)
* Add custom header image support (Customizer -> Header Media)
* Register two block styles (quote accent border, thick separator) and two block patterns
* Style core classes: .sticky, .wp-caption, .wp-caption-text, .gallery-caption
