A fast, accessible theme for vehicle rental and fleet websites.

== Description ==

Driveline is built for vehicle rental, fleet and automotive sites. It focuses on
presentation: readable typography, a flexible header, wide and full alignment
support, and block patterns designed for listing layouts.

Driveline does not create content types or booking logic. Pair it with a listing
or booking plugin of your choice and Driveline will style the output.

Nothing is loaded from an external server. There are no bundled fonts, no icon
sets and no third-party libraries; body and heading text use the operating
system's own fonts, so a page renders with no network request beyond the theme's
own stylesheet.

= Design options =

All options live in the Customizer under Appearance, Customize, Driveline
Design. The theme stores no option of its own; every value is a theme
modification, so uninstalling leaves nothing behind.

* Colors. Accent, rule, heading, body text and surface. Each swatch is empty by
default and the palette in theme.json stays in charge until you set one.
* Typography. Heading font, body font, heading weight and an overall type scale.
The three font choices map to the families already declared in theme.json.
* Header. Inline, stacked or centred layout, background colour, text colour, and
  a switch for the tagline.
* Footer. Stacked or inline layout, background colour and text colour.
* Layout. Sidebar on the left, right or hidden; content width; wide width; and
  the vertical rhythm between sections.
* Blog. Featured image on or off, its aspect ratio, and switches for the date,
the author and the category and tag lists.

Colours, fonts, widths and spacing update live in the Customizer preview.

= Templates =

Four page templates are included: Full width, Left sidebar, Landing page and
Blank canvas. Landing page keeps the header and footer but leaves the title to
the content, for a page whose first pattern already carries its own heading.
Blank canvas drops the header and footer entirely.

= Patterns =

Fourteen block patterns are registered under the Driveline category: rental
hero, fleet grid, fleet at a glance, vehicle detail layout, rate plans, pickup
locations, how it works in three steps, included with every rental, vehicle
class comparison, rental FAQ, customer testimonials, contact and opening hours,
call to action band and footer columns.

Three block style variations are also registered: Card on the Group block,
Outline on the Button block and Framed on the Image block.

= WooCommerce =

Driveline styles WooCommerce rather than extending it. Product listings, the
cart, checkout and the account pages inherit the theme's typography, colours and
layout width, and the product gallery keeps its zoom, lightbox and slider. The
WooCommerce stylesheet loads only on shop, cart, checkout and account pages, so
a site with no shop never downloads a rule it cannot use.

= Accessibility =

A skip link is the first focusable element, becomes visible on focus and moves
focus to the main content. Every link, button and form field draws a visible
focus outline that keeps at least 3:1 contrast against both light and dark
sections. The mobile menu traps focus while it is open, closes on Escape and
returns focus to its toggle. Tables wider than the screen are reachable with the
arrow keys.

= Right to left and translation =

Driveline is translation ready and ships a POT file. Right to left layouts are
supported without a separate stylesheet: the CSS uses logical properties, and
letter spacing is removed under a right to left document so cursive scripts join
correctly.

== Installation ==

1. In the admin, go to Appearance, Themes, Add New, Upload Theme.
2. Choose the zip file and select Install Now.
3. Select Activate.
4. Go to Appearance, Customize, Driveline Design to set colours, typography and
   layout.

Or unzip the archive and upload the `driveline` folder to `wp-content/themes/`.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does Driveline include a booking system? =

No. Booking, listings and payments belong in a plugin so your data stays intact
if you change themes. Driveline is designed to style those plugins cleanly.

= Does the theme load anything from an external server? =

No. Nothing is fetched at runtime. The theme bundles no fonts and no images, and
uses the system font stack.

= Where are the theme settings? =

Appearance, Customize, Driveline Design. There is no separate settings screen.

= Can I put the sidebar on the left? =

Yes. Set it site wide under Driveline Design, Layout, or use the Left sidebar
page template on a single page.

= Which template should I use for a landing page? =

Choose Landing page when your first pattern already carries the page heading, so
the title is not printed twice. Choose Blank canvas when a page builder should
own the whole viewport, header and footer included.

= Which blocks does the theme style? =

The core blocks. Driveline registers no blocks of its own; it adds three style
variations to the Group, Button and Image blocks.

= Does the theme work with WooCommerce? =

Yes. Driveline declares WooCommerce support and ships template wrappers so shop
pages sit in the same layout as the rest of the site. It adds no store
functionality of its own.
